Catriona Fraser provided the following:

Extract from the 1808 Old Parish Records for Peterhead: Alexander Mutch and Elisabeth Logie's marriage dated June 12th 1808. Alexander Mutch is listed as a Farmer and they are both in Peterhead

I have found this family living at Downiehills, Peterhead in the 1841 census where Alexander is recorded as a farmer.
Seonaid Henderson found the links to sons James and John. She has also added the details for son Robert and daughter Amelia:

My great x3 grandfather was Alexander Mutch A8. He had a daughter Amelia born 8th May 1815 at Peterhead who was my great x 2 grandmother. She married a Stewart Cooper in 1840 and died on 2nd July 1865 aged 50 at St.Fergus.

Donald Cameron has confirmed daughter Elizabeth's family details. He wrote:

Elizabeth Mutch B.1827? Downiehills married Andrew Johnstone 28.4.1849, daughter Annie Gidd Johnstone B 14.2.1858 married James Hutchison who was my great, great grandfather.

ALEXANDER MUTCH son of A8 married a MARJORY FORGIE on the 22nd Dec. 1855 at LONGSIDE.

In the 1881 census they were at 11 EASTFIELD LONGSIDE.

ALEXANDER MUTCH age 57 bn Peterhead.
MARJORY MUTCH age 53 bnLongside.
JAMES F MUTCH u age 23 bn Longside.
ROBINA M MUTCH u age 17 bn Longside.
MARY J MUTCH u age 13 bn Longside.

I have also found the birth of the following daughter, AGNES DANIEL MUTCH bn 6th Mar. 1865 at Buthlaw.In the 1881 census she was at High Street,Beltwood, Ct. Banchory Ternan.

At the same time Thomas Kidman contacted me about the same son. He wrote:

I have an Alexander Mutch, baptised 22 April 1824 at Peterhead, Aberdeen.......

He married Marjory Forgie in 1855 and they had six children, some of whom spread round the world to Australia and USA.

Details of daughter Janet come from ANESFHS Ancestor Chart 7875. This chart also gives her mother as Margaret Henry.
Her marriage is also shown on ANESFHS Ancestor Chart 9267 from Doug Beagrie of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada who has provided the information on her children, including 2 children not found in IGI: Elizabeth L Robb and George Robb.
Caire Matthew has confirmed details of the 2 children mentioned by Doug Beagrie and sent the following additional information on yet another child of daughter Janet:

You have a list of 8 children of their daughter Janet and her husband James Robb plus the mention of another 2 from a Mr Beagrie. While comparing with my tree I have another child that you don't have a record of. She is Margaret Ross Robb born 06/12/1835 in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.

Barbara Dawes wrote to confirm that Alexander married twice. The marriage to Margaret Henry was originally entered as family line W13. She also pointed out that Janet's death registration gives her mother as Elizabeth Logie.

I'm still trying to find the marriage cert of Stewart Murray Cooper- Amelia Mutch (I have the one for his later marriage, to Margaret Dow, after Amelia died). It was Stewart and Amelia's son, also Stewart, who was my great-grandfather.
