Rob Burr provided the following details from their wedding certificate :
"At the time she was a factory worker resident at Port Elphinstone. James was aged 25, a farm servant resident at Chapel of Garioch and the son of Alexander Hutcheon and Jane Hutcheon (ms Campbell). Witnesses were Alexander Mutch and George Duguid. James and Ann had 7 known children."

- Ann Hector Mutch born 7 March 1887 - died 1945. Married Albert Victor Ley 21 August 1911. They had one child George Henry
