Webmaster's notes:

This family line is listed a D3 in the 1929 Mutch Genealogy. George's parents are given as John + Margaret Sim.
Daughter Elizabeth's details are taken from ANESFHS Ancestor Chart 3534
Son William's 2nd marriage details are taken from ANESFHS Ancestor Chart 9965.
I have found this family in the 1841 census where Elisabeth is listed under her maiden name and her occupation is given as farmer at Smithyseat, Tyrie.
Don Mutch has provided additional information he is descended from this family line:

I am a descendant of George Mutch and Elizabeth Bisset through their son George who married Margaret Fraser in 1860 and emigrated to Canada in 1871

Valerie Anderson has provided additional information including details of some later generations:

It was actually my Leel family tree that I was following when I am across the connection to Elizabeth Mutch!

Debbie Roberts has sent the following email:

I am a decendant of George Mutch G20 and can trace from Goerge to his son William, then his daughter Elizabeth who was my Great Grandmother. I have documentation from 1894 when William died and control of the pub they ran in Banff, Scotland went from William to his 2nd wife Mary and this stayed in the family until 1942. I have many copies of the bar licences that show the pub moved through the family.

Rob Burr found the death certificate of William's son James. It shows he was married to Mabel Jane Turner & the informant was his son James R G Mutch.
Bob mutch has written with the following update:

My Grandfather William George Cheyne Mutch (b1892 d 1918 WWI) was the son of Robert Cheyne Mutch (b 11/101869) who was the son of William Mutch (b 1838) and Christian Cheyne......(according to the 1929 genealogy) Margaret Cheyne was the wife of William but the marriage certificate and her birth certificate list her as Christian!
