I can confirm three of the children of John Mutch [J 70].

William Law Mutch bn Downiehills 30th Aug. 1860 - died 21st Nov. 1943 at 34 Prince Street Peterhead. He was single.

Robina Law Mutch bn 12th Jan. 1865, looks like it says Clubsross - died in Feb. 1946 at 34 Prince Street Peterhead. She married a Andrew Young Munro on the 6th Dec. 1892 at Downiehills,Peterhead.

James Alexander Mutch bn 21st July 1866,Downiehills.

In the 1980's I did get to meet the daughter of Robert Shewan Mutch in Peterhead. She went by the name of "Bella". I'm assuming it was really Isabella.

Scott Milne contacted me in 2010 to inform me that daughters Isabella and Georgina were wrongly entered in IGI as being children of John + Isabella Will, instead of this family. I somehow managed to mislay Scott's email until I found an old paper copy in 2023!

Georgina's death record and both the 1861 & 1871 Census records for Peterhead confirm that Scott was correct. My heartfelt apologies to him for the delay, but I have now corrected this by updating J70 and removing J81.

My Great Grandmother, Isabella Waddell Mutch, was married to my Great Grandfather, Alexander Scott Milne on 29 January 1875. Isabella Mutch was born in Peterhead, Scotland, the eldest daughter of John Mutch - John Mutch & Sons, Downiehills Brick and Tile Works. Her date of birth was March 27, 1852 and she died March 17, 1925.

Her mother, was Isabella Waddell, my GGG Mother. Isabella Waddell was married to John Mutch, November 1, 1851. They had many children: Isabella (my GG Mother) 1852. Georgina-Jan 15th 1854. John Mutch 1856. Margaret Mutch 1858.William Law Mutch 1860. John Mutch occupation varied from Labourer to tenant farmer and Brickmaker & Tile Manufacturer. My GG father and Mother residence was Seagate, Peterhead.

I found the birth certificate for daughter Margaret's daughter Margaret Alexandrina Webster which led me to find Margaret and James Webster's marriage and children.
