Douglas Bruce pointed out a typo I’d made when entering the birth year of second wife Annie Ross of son John.

He also provided details of John’s daughter Isabella’s family:

John Mutch b 1853 d 1918 Aberdeen. His first wife was Jane Smart and his second was Annie Ross but the website record shows she was born St Fergus 1883 and this should read 1853.

In addition the website indicates that his daughter Isabella Mutch born 1880, who is correctly identified as marrying a William Anderson (as they married 18th Dec 1903 in Fraserburgh as Scotlandspeople record 196/60 shows), but they went on to have the following children:-

  • William Anderson b 1904 d 1966
  • John Mutch Anderson b 1906 d 1995
  • George Mutch Smart Anderson b 1908 d 1997
  • Isabel Anderson b 1913
  • Madeline Anderson b 1917 d 2006
  • Mary Anderson b 1919
