I dowmloaded a copy of the marriage record between William Mutch and Mary Mutch. This confirmed Mary was the daughter of family line J73, John Mutch and Janet Gibson and that William was the son of family line J96, John Mutch and Isabel Beaton.

As this was the first time I have come across a marriage between two family lines, it gave me a problem on how to show their family without doubling up on entries. I decided to list their children under William’s record and refer to this under Mary’s one. Not perfect, but hopefully researchers will be able to follow the logic.

After 21 years the website continues to throw up new challenges! Long may it continue!
