I did some research on this family when a visited Orkney. George is shown in the 1871 census for Stromness as a Master Blacksmith living at South Wholmsley. Also shown are his wife Isabella and children Alexander and Eliza Jane.
By 1881 the family is living at Redland Hill in Stromness. In addition to the previous children Isabella, Georgina, Andrew, Robina and James are listed.
