Zillah Osborne has confirmed this family line being descended from Isabella and William Bullock.

I have now found Alexander's death registration on Scotland's People which gives his parents as James and Margaret Allan. The informant is daughter Margaret which led me to her marriage to James Ogston.

Following some correspondence with Bob Shepherd on WikiTree I found that son James married Jane Henry. This was complicated by the fact that James cousin, son of J58 and also called James, married Jane's sister Jessie!
