No sign in 1901 {but see Alex's death below}

According to Alexander's death certificate he was Alexander Johnston Mutch and he was the illegitimate (reputed) son of Alexander Mutch a general labourer and Margaret Johnston a mill worker.

He died aged 65 on 23rd Sep 1892 at 3 Stevenson Street Old Machar. He was a flax mill overseer and was married to Jane Beattie. Death was notified by his son Alex B Mutch of 22 Leadside Road Aberdeen.

Jim also sent the following details for son Robert:

Their son Robert married on 30th Dec 1882 at St Paul Street Aberdeen according to the forms of the United Presbyterian Church. He was a journeyman twine spinner aged 24, of Buckie. He married Christina Scott, a domestic servant aged 18 of 66 Rosemount Place Aberdeen. [168/ 01 0009]

His parents were Alexander Mutch Flax mill overseer and Jane Beattie.

Her parents were Robert Scott (tea merchant) (Deceased) and Christina Mowat.

Witnesses were Archibald Mutch (brother?) and George Murray

He can be seen in 1901 at 5 Urquhart Street, St Nicholas, Aberdeen [168/1 ED 21 Page59]
