Webmaster's notes:

This family line is listed a C6 in the 1929 Mutch Genealogy. John's parents are given as James + Elspet Mitchel. The book shows son John & daughter Isabella but they do not show in a IGI search.

Thomas born 1879 is in IGI but is not mentioned in the book.
I found William and Elspet's births in the OPR for Cruden while I was looking for my own family line. I can copy the entry to anyone interested.
Peggy Smith confirmed her connection to this family line and sent details of son James' marriages to twin sisters:

"My great grandfather was James Mutch born Cruden, Aberdeenshire c.1859. He married first Mary Balfour then, after Mary's death, he married her twin sister Margaret. James died in Dundee 1887"

Based on this information I found the marriage records for both sisters and Mary's death record in Scotlands People.
