James Mutch and Margaret Kemp are listed as the parents of James Mutch on James and Barbara Greigs 1859 marriage printout from Scotlands People.
Also Rebecca Clayton adds My GG gfather is James Mutch dob 29.10.1839 son of James Mutch and Margaret Kemp, their exact details I cannot find. I have a list of 12 possibilities, I don't think they were married when James was born and I think he was a recruit in the army.
