Spouse Jessie Anne Henry born 17 September 1843 in the parish of Peterhead. They married 1 March 1870 at 33 Union Place in the parish of Old Machar.

Her father was William Henry and her mother was Jane Dimlay.

William is listed as a Ropemaker on both the birth and marriage records for Jessie. This together with the similarity in mothers surname led me to the assumption that she was a sister of Jane Henry who married her husband's cousin.
