Information on son George is taken from information provided by Trish Mackenzie. Trish wrote :

One of my ancestors is James Mutch . He was a farmservant (as most folk were). His son James (bap. 8th June 1809 in Belhelvie) married Mary Keith on 15th July 1832 in Ellon. I haven't found James's death yet. Mary died 19th Aug 1894 aged 83 years. Her parents were George Keith and Mary Ironside.

Their son George, born around 1840 married Jessie Robertson on 30th Dec 1863 at Cassiegills (a farm), Ellon. George died 12th Feb 1929 aged 89 yrs at Kiplaw Farm. Jessie was born 14th Aug 1841 in Ellon. She was a domestic servant. She died 8th Aug 1898. Their son William Forbes Robertson Mutch was my grandfather.

Trish's latest update states:

...I've discovered a James was born to them, because he put up a grave stone to them in Ellon Cemetery, although George registered their deaths. Erected by James Mutch in memory of his parents James Mutch died 16th Dec 1891 and Mary Keith died 19th Aug 1894

Information on daughter Isabella and the other children also comes from Trish:
I discovered a free census search site and think I've found the above twosome at Hill of Fiddes, Foveran in 1841. James age 30 Ag. Lab., Mary (25), Isabella(8), Margaret (5) and George (2). Isabella is new to me.

Re James Mutch b 1809 (J58), his child 'aryu' turns out to be Mary (and I thought I was well acquainted with old-fashioned writing!) and Stewart, her sibling, I've discovered is a girl. She married James Craig on 7 Mar 1868 in Ellon.

Kate Egerton has provided details of the children of daughter Elizabeth. She originally added the following to the Forum under the user name K8:

I was looking through the children for James Mutch b 1809 and Mary Keith b 1811 and noticed that my GGGrandmother was not included she was Elizabeth Mutch b c1853 in Parish of Ellon I still can not find a birth certificate for her but i do have her death certificate,she died 25th April 1932,in Newburgh Foveran Aberdeenshire [NB: Parish records state she died in Aberdeen], she married James Christie in Ellon on 21st Dec 1872.They then went on to have 10 children.

Andy Beale contacted the site with details of the family of daughter Isabella and his links to this family line. He wrote:

I am a descendant of James (m Margaret Allan) verified via DNA links and James ( m Mary Keith) via Isabella b1833 ( no citation) m Andrew Milne 19 Jun 1853 at Logie Buchan, Aberdeen, Scotland. Andrew b 6 DEC 1829 • Belhevie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, DEATH 24 JUN 1872 • Ellon, Aberdeen, Scotland. Isabella DEATH 6 DEC 1918 • 18 Park Street, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and was my 3XG Grandmother.

I have 5 children recorded, Mary Milne 1854 - 1920 (my line), Margaret Milne 1855 -1995, Andrew 1857 - ?, James Milne 1859 - 1934 and Ann Much Milne 1861 - ?.
